Drug Rehab & Addiction Treatment For Tri-Cities TN – Bristol Kingsport Johnson City

When our founder established Cornerstone of Recovery in 1989, he never imagined that, 30 years later, sick and suffering addicts and alcoholics would come here for drug rehab from the Tri-Cities.

It makes sense, however, given that Cornerstone, just outside of Knoxville in the foothills of the Smokies, is one of the largest addiction treatment providers in the state of Tennessee. Johnson City, Bristol and Kingsport are certainly not immune to the effects of addiction: A Tennessee Department of Health report revealed that while overdose deaths in the state of Tennessee were 19.3 per 1,000 people in 2014, Northeast Tennessee posted far greater numbers: 28 per 1,000 in Sullivan County, 27.9 in Unicoi County, 27.8 in Greene County, 22.4 in Johnson County and 19.8 in Washington County. Over a five-year period from 2009 to 2014, 580 deaths in the Tri-Cities were attributed to substance abuse … but those who suffer from addiction don’t have to become part of those numbers.

There is, just a short drive from the Tri-Cities, a drug rehab center that provides a full spectrum of care for those seeking addiction treatment. Over the course of three decades, we’ve grown from a small, family-owned operation with 18 beds and 22 staff members when the doors first opened to a four-facility campus on 25 acres, with roughly 175 beds and around 250 staff members … but we’re still owned by that same family. And we still employ the same treatment methodology that has helped thousands of addicts and alcoholics find long-term recovery, free from the bondage of their respective diseases.

Learn More About Cornerstone of Recovery

What Is Involved With The Drug Rehab & Addiction Treatment Programs?

At Cornerstone of Recovery, we’ve been helping addicts and alcoholics find a new way to live through our addiction treatment program for nearly three decades. We’re only an hour and a half down Interstate 81 to Interstate 40, and because our inpatient treatment programs incorporate both clinical approaches and 12 Step recovery based on principles first outlined by Alcoholics Anonymous, we’ve successfully introduced sobriety to individuals across the state, including many in the Tri-Cities. We’re close enough that you can be here in less than two hours, but far enough away from the quagmire of the towns where you live and use that you’re able to find the clarity of mind and relief you’ll need to get your life back on track.

On our four-building campus, you’ll be given the tools you need to do just that through one of four primary treatment programs we offer. Each one follows a similar path — group therapy, individual therapy, cognitive behavioral and processing groups, activity therapy and more — but each program also caters to the specific needs of the individual. Those programs include:

Newcomers Inpatient Program

The Newcomers Residential Alcohol and Drug Rehab Program usually lasts from 28 to 35 days, during which time patients are immersed in an individual treatment plan that addresses their needs, backgrounds and situations. From 12 Step recovery to peer support to psychiatric care for dual diagnosis issues to a host of therapeutic modalities, it’s a path for those dealing with alcoholism for the first time.

Recovery Renewal Inpatient Program

Recovery is often not a “one and done” process. Sometimes, individuals with previous treatment experience or significant amounts of sobriety can relapse, and that’s where our Recovery Renewal Residential Inpatient Program can help. Through intense therapeutic work, it addresses the reasons those individuals have been unable to stay sober and helps them find healthy coping skills.

Young Adult Inpatient Program

Young men between the ages of 18 and 26 often need an alcoholism treatment program to engage restless bodies and active minds. That’s where our Young Adult Residential rehab and recovery program comes in. It’s specifically designed to meet the challenges that this age group faces, and our clinical staff focuses on developmental issues, behavior styles and energy levels specific to the young adult.

Women Only Inpatient Program

While recovery is available to anyone, the individual paths to a new way of life on the other side of alcoholism are unique to the individual. Women, in particular, often face a number of issues and traumas unique to their gender. As part of our Women’s Only Alcoholism Treatment Program, female patients will find a safe space to process their issues, bond with other women and find hope, healing and recovery from alcoholism.

In addition, we provide ancillary psychiatric services to help stabilize co-occurring mental health disorders; Intensive Outpatient treatment for those who transition out of residential treatment but wish to continue their recovery journey as part of our Sober Living community; and an extensive network of Aftercare meetings around the region so that our alumni can stay connected with Cornerstone after they return home to the Tri-Cities.

But that’s not all: Within each program, there are specialized treatment paths that help patients salvage their livelihoods in addition to their bodies, minds and spirits. But while we have specialized treatment tracks for certain industries like aviation and the railroad, we offer the same level of care to everyone who enters our door seeking an end to the misery that has kept them from prospering for so long.

Does Cornerstone Accept My Health Insurance?

The short answer? Yes. If you have a private or commercial health insurance policy purchased through the Health Marketplace Exchange or provided by an employer (or a dependent’s employer), then chances are very good that Cornerstone is considered an in-network provider. For more than 30 years, we’ve worked with health insurance companies around the country, including in the Tri-Cities, to serve the needs of patients seeking drug and alcohol rehab. We understand that navigating the fine print of health insurance plans can be frustrating and nerve-wracking, but our trained staff members can help you navigate those hurdles so that you can begin the addiction treatment process unburdened by the worry of financial strain. Some of the plans accepted by Cornerstone include:

Aetna

In addition, TennCare recipients likely qualify for drug and alcohol treatment at Stepping Stone to Recovery, our sister facility based in Knoxville that provides TennCare and lower-cost alternatives without sacrificing the quality of the treatment provided.

If you don’t see your plan on this list, don’t give up hope for addiction recovery. There may be financial options you haven’t thought about, and the best way to determine whether you qualify is to give us a call. At the very least, we’ll help refer you to other treatment facilities that might best meet your financial needs.

What Happens Next?

If you’re ready to start living a drug-free life instead of existing in the miserable darkness of addiction, then let us help you get started. We have a treatment plan to meet your needs, and our trained and compassionate Admissions counselors are standing by 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We know your pain because many of us once lived as you do, and we’re passionate advocates for recovery because we experience the freedom that comes with it in our own lives. If you’re hurting and want to stop, pick up the phone. Let’s get you started down the road toward a new way of life.

Why Consider Leaving The Tri-Cities For Your Treatment?

You don’t have to live with the misery of addiction any longer, and we feel like a great first step is leaving it behind in the Tri-Cities. We understand that you may have vocational or financial or familial obligations that make for good excuses as to why you won’t come to Cornerstone, but let us assure you: Those things will still be there after you’ve taken time to get better, and you’ll be able to take care of them as a fully functioning member of society unbound by the chains of your disease.

By joining our residential inpatient program, you’ll learn to use new coping mechanisms and life skills to handle the emotions and situations that once drove you to get high in the first place; you’ll be slowly and safely withdrawn from the drugs that are polluting you; and you’ll build a network of recovering peers and clinically trained staff members — many of whom are in recovery themselves — to give you the support you need to return to the Tri-Cities as a new individual.
